Clinical Director: Cindy Auchter, MSW, LCSW Licensed Clinical Social Worker Cindy is well known in the mental health community of the Sun Coast.   She comes to Charis with excellent clinical and administrative experience as she has served in hospital, educational and private practice settings over the last 20 years. Cindy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Texas.   She has lived in Sarasota for 18 years having established a private psychotherapy practice here 17 years ago.   She also co-founded the Counseling Center at St. Boniface Episcopal Church in 1997.  Unique to Cindy’s practice is her Senior In-Home Counseling Program which she also brings to the Charis Center. Cindy’s areas of expertise working with adults, couples, and families include: depression, anxiety, life transitions (including geriatric issues), parenting, relationship issues, post traumatic stress and addictions.
