Who We Are

Charis Center is a non-profit organization that provides counseling and psychoeducational services to meet the emotional, relational, pastoral, and spiritual needs of individuals, couples, families, faith communities, and seeks to serve our Suncoast communities.

Charis comes from a Greek word that means grace.  As the name suggests, our professionally trained staff provide services that respectfully integrate the empathy of professional wisdom with pastoral care for the healing of the whole person.

Confidentiality Statement

All information shared in your treatment at the Charis Center is confidential except in circumstances governed by law.  Florida law states the therapist has a legal obligation to notify the appropriate authorities if you are judged to be a danger to yourself or someone else, or if there is an allegation of child or elder abuse.    If you would like our therapist to confer with another healthcare professional, you will need to sign a “Release of Information” form.  You can revoke this permission at any time.
